SATISFACTORYBASE

About us

What this place is

SatisfactoryBase is a set of tools for Satisfactory, built around one idea: everything you need to plan a factory should sit in one browser tab, and it should agree with the game.

There is a factory planner that solves production chains exactly instead of rounding them, an interactive map that knows your world seed and holds your factories, routes and notes, a blueprint archive for sharing what you have built, a wiki built on the game's own data files, and a belt balancer that works out the splitter and merger layout for any ratio. Worlds can be private, shared with friends, or public for anyone to look at.

Why we build it

Made by players, for players. We are Satisfactory players first — the kind who alt-tab out to work out how many Refineries a plastic line needs and come back an hour later having built the wrong thing. The tools we wanted did not exist in one piece, so we started building them, and then kept going.

SatisfactoryBase is free. Not free-for-now: free. No paid tiers, no feature behind a subscription, no plan to add one. An account exists so your worlds can follow you between devices and so you can share them — never as a gate in front of the planner or the map.

Where we are heading

The ambition is one place where you plan a world, see it on the map, and hand it to the people you play with — one link, no export dance. Planning and mapping are close; real-time collaboration, savegame import and the blueprint archive are still growing. The site is in open beta: some of it is rough, some of it changes under your feet. Tell us when it does.

What we believe

Honest numbers. Every rate, recipe and building here comes from the game's own data export, not from someone's memory, and when a value looks wrong it is a bug we want to hear about.

No dark patterns. No tracking before you agree to it, no advertising before you agree to it, no mailing list you did not ask for. The privacy policy says exactly what is stored and why, and the cookie settings are one click away in the footer.

Vibe coding

This site is vibe-coded. We say so openly: it is built with Claude, Anthropic's AI model. A result like this would have taken hundreds of hours more by hand – and even with the AI it is still hundreds of hours of testing, of ideas, of decisions and of fitting all the pieces together. The AI writes a lot of the code; what the site should be, and whether it is right, stays a human job.

Standing on other people's work

Almost none of this would exist without open source. This site stands on SvelteKit, Svelte, Leaflet, HiGHS, the game's own data export and a long list of others carrying real weight behind the scenes. The full list, with every library, data source and tool, is on its own page: Used tools and repos.

Read along, or say hello

The developer blog is where we write down what changed and why, and FactoryJin is our in-game assistant. Both are being built right now and may still be quiet when you get there.

If something is broken, wrong or missing, the bug-report button in the app goes straight to our issue tracker. The people who test the beta and report what breaks are on their own page – thank you. For everything else: privacy@satisfactorybase.com.
