Today was the unglamorous half of building a website: a server, a database, an automatic weekly backup, a health check that tells us when something is down, and a deployment we can repeat without holding our breath. Alongside that came the imprint and the privacy policy, a cookie banner that actually gates analytics and advertising instead of just asking politely, self-hosted fonts so no third party sees your visit, and error reporting so a crash reaches us instead of dying silently in your browser.
We also gave every public page its own title, description and social preview image, added a sitemap and told search engines which pages they may index and which they may not — your account, your worlds and your factories are off limits.
One thing you will see immediately: a Beta badge in the navigation and a report button next to it. SatisfactoryBase is in open beta. Numbers can change, features will move around, and something will occasionally be wrong. The report button takes a screenshot of what you were looking at and sends it to us with the page you were on, so we do not have to guess.
Not everything today was plumbing. The Planner learned editable connection lines — drag a segment, set waypoints, and the belt path stays where you put it, with a Tidy button to reset. Generator nodes arrived together with a power balance, so a factory can finally tell you whether it feeds itself. On the Map, extractor settings now live directly on a resource node, purity is colour-coded red, yellow and green, and the wheel zoom is roughly one level per tick instead of a slow crawl. Train stations handle multiple cargo types and a fuel port, and assign themselves when you connect them.
Why we changed it
The badge and the report button exist because we would rather hear about a problem the moment it annoys you than read about it in a review three weeks later. And consent gating is deliberate: no analytics and no ads run until you say yes, and saying no keeps the site fully usable.
