SATISFACTORYBASE

We are live

SatisfactoryBase is public — and the same day brought the Belt Balancer tool, the rebuilt Planner and game data straight out of Update 1.2.

What's new

SatisfactoryBase is live. You can open the Map, build in the Planner, browse the Wiki and share a public world without asking anyone for an invite.

The Belt Balancer arrived as its own tool. Give it a number of input belts and a number of output belts, and it draws a buildable arrangement of splitters and mergers, with belt tiers, overload markers and loopbacks where they are needed. The diagram is a real drawing on a grid, not a sketch: you can export it as an image or copy the layout as text. The Wiki got a how-to and a catalogue of the common balancers to go with it.

The Planner was rebuilt around the way you actually play. A right-click opens a build wheel in the game's style, with rings for the canvas, a node and a selection. There is a searchable catalogue of every action, a hotbar with nine levels bound to your account, undo and redo, and a summary panel that adds up power, machines, build cost, raw materials in and surplus out. The magic wand builds the whole upstream chain for a machine or an output in one click, skips ingredients you already supply, and places the chain without overlapping anything. Hover a node's port and a small plus appears — drag from a free handle to create the next machine straight away.

Behind all of that, every number, name, icon and recipe now comes from the Update 1.2 game export instead of a hand-maintained list: real building footprints, Somersloop slots, build costs and German names included.

Why we changed it

The Planner used to have an "auto" mode and a "manual" mode, and the two disagreed often enough to be a nuisance. There is only one mode now — yours. Old auto factories are converted when you open them, so nothing is lost.

The Belt Balancer became a standalone tool with its own address because most people want an answer to "how do I split 7 belts into 11" without opening a factory first. It will be reachable from inside the Planner too, but the fast path should stay fast.
